South Dakota Memories by Ketan Deshpande
Day two started with Badlands, we took a chopper ride over the area which was awesome, I have placed a link where you can find the video of the chopper ride here. After the ride we took the trails and walked the area, nature at it’s best is the only way to describe the majesty of the views.
Horse back riding was what was up next, we went on a 5 mile trail which meandered through steep inclines, drop offs and streams. Kiddos had a blast. A great escape from the arrest of typical scenic vacations for them. Ride lasted for almost 1 hrs., awesome experience.
Next stop was Needle point, views were absolutely stunning
We then went to see the Devil’s Tower, saw a large herd of American Bison on our way there. One of the largest land animal in north america
No visit to South Dakota is complete without a visit to the Mount Rushmore Monument, majestic figures of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln, surrounded by the beauty of the Black Hills of South Dakota, tell the story of the birth, growth, development and preservation of this country. From the history of the first inhabitants to the diversity of America today, Mount Rushmore brings visitors face to face with the rich heritage we all share.
We all can not wait to visit South Dakota again
