MIT develops strongest material

Graphene is believed to be one of the strongest material in 2D however utilizing this material in 3D has been a challenge until now MIT researchers have recently developed a new material by fusing and compressing layers of Graphene.

Resulting material has some unique properties, 5% the density of steel but 20 times stronger than steel.
