Battle for Gibraltar

Brexit proceedings continue to encounter complications, Spain’s desire for Gibraltar – currently British land.

In recent Brexit related developments the remaining European Union Members may allow Spain veto authority on the long standing sovereignty issues with Gibraltar – currently British territory.

Gibraltar’s chief minister has expressed his concerns and has called Spain’s actions to be “unnecessary”, “unjustified” and “unacceptable”. Britain’s foreign secretary has publicly reassured Gibraltar of their unwavering and continued support. A few notable politicians have called Spain’s actions to be “bullying” in nature.

Gibraltar became a part of Britain in 1713, and currently occupied by Brit’s as a majority, who wish to remain it to be a British territory.
