As the Trump administration reviews changes to NAFTA and other economic policies, the industry has already started to update their investment and manufacturing plans. Companies like Ford, GM and FCA have announced jobs coming back to the US.  Ford has backing away from investing $1.6 billion in a new Mexican assembly plant, however continuing their plans to expand transmission and engine factories in Mexico.
