A must see landmark in Minneapolis

Minneapolis Sculpture Garden … a must see

The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden opened in 1988 and is now open after the recent renovation. It is also the home of the iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry. The sculpture garden exhibits over 40 collections from the Walker Art Center. For 2017 a few new sculptures are also added. It is 3rd on the Tripadvisors’s list of sites and landmarks to visit in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The mixture of cool eclectic art, being outdoors & unplugged, and getting some exercise simultaneously was a work of magic. Every backdrop makes a perfect picture. They are still working on the native plant flowerbeds, at present they look like weeds but by fall they will be stunning and I look forward to checking in again in the future. I highly recommend this place for individuals and families!

Since opening in 1988, the Garden has welcomed millions of visitors, showcasing more than 40 works from the Walker Art Center’s collections, including the iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry. A partnership between the Walker and the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board, the Garden is must-see destination for visitors of all ages. Open 365 days a year, from 6 am to 12 midnight.

Art … heart of the city

The Sculpture garden is located less than 15 minutes from the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport and very easily accessible with ample parking. We took out extended family to see the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden a few weeks ago. It was a sunny day with mild temperatures, great time to be outside. This blog post captures some of the sculptures that I liked the most.
